Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy Charged in Robbery

A jail deputy for The Monroe County Jail is one of two people who have been arrested in connection with a robbery in Greece. Brandon Guidice, 21, is charged with robbery in the second, grand larceny in the fourth and assault in the third. Selina Sonmez, 20, has been charged with second degree robbery, fourth degree grand larceny, third degree assault and aggravated criminal contempt. They are accused of robbing and beating a person in the parking lot on Latta Road around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Sonmez is being held in the Monroe County Jail. Guidice was released after his arraignment. He has been suspended with pay until the investigation is complete. Police are looking for other suspects in connection with the incident.
