The Monroe County Democratic Committee has a new chairperson.
Brittaney Wells was elected last night to succeed Jamie Romeo, who is a candidate for state Assembly.
Wells has served as the executive vice chair since this spring, and has been a campaign manager for Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren.
Romeo became committee chair in 2015, but is running in November for the Assembly seat in the 136th District.
