In Ontario County, Silvio Palermo has won the Republican Primary to succeed retiring Sheriff Phil Povero. Palermo received 53 percent of the vote to defeat opponent Robert Green Jr. Palermo will face Democrat Kevin Henderson in the November election.
And former prosecutor Kitty Karle has won the Republican Primary for Ontario County Court Judge -- defeating Russ Kenyon. There is no Democrat in the race, assuring Karle will win the seat on the bench in November.
