Gov. Cuomo Asking Federal Government to Grant Major Disaster Declaration

Governor Cuomo is asking the federal government to grant a Major Disaster Declaration for several counties affected by last month’s flash flood.

Cuomo requesting that the federal government provide funding and resources to Seneca County and seven other counties -- to help communities recover. 

Lodi and Lodi Point in Seneca County were some of the hardest hit areas. 

According to the governor's office, Governor Cuomo requested a Joint Preliminary Damage Assessment in which teams of state and federal experts estimated over $36 million in infrastructure repair, debris removal and structure damage as a result of these storms.
