Report: GOP Has a Way to Replace Chris Collins

There are reports local Republicans may ask elected officials to resign so they can get a landing spot for a congressman facing criminal charges. The Buffalo News is reporting Clarence Town Board members have been asked to step down to create a vacancy for Congressman Chris Collins. Collins suspended his campaign for Congress last month after he was charged with insider trading. According to the law, Collins must remain on the ballot unless he dies or runs for another position. Republicans must make a decision by Wednesday, Sept. 19.
