Arrest Made Following Standoff in Geneva

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says no one is hurt following a standoff in Geneva last night.

Authorities were called to an apartment on Hamilton Street around seven o’clock last night, after they say Raymond Shirley had fired a round from his shotgun into the floor of his second story apartment.

Shirley then barricaded himself in his apartment, eventually surrendering after spending hours on the phone with Sheriff’s negotiators.

Shirley has been charged with reckless endangerment.
