Rochester Man Pleads Guilty in Armed Convenience Store Robberies

A Rochester man has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from four armed robberies at city convenience stores over three weeks last September.

Damien Rutledge will be sentenced in November for multiple counts of aiding and abetting a robbery and a firearm charge. He and four accomplices netted a total of more than $5,400 from Hudson Save More, the 18 Hour Store on North Goodman, the Four Star Market and the Bronx Market.

The spree ended when an employee in a fifth store grabbed a gun from one of the robbers and shot one of them in the stomach. The co-conspirators previously pleaded guilty.
