Hernandez Sentenced To Probation For School Threat

Rochester, NY -- The illegal immigrant who admitted making threats on Facebook against East High School has been sentenced, as expected, to time served and probation.

Abigail Hernandez pleaded guilty in June to a misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting an incident. Her sentencing was postponed until Tuesday morning to allow time for an exam of her cognitive ability.

Her attorney said in court she understood the consequences of her actions.

Hernandez was brought illegally to the U.S. as a child and still could face deportation. A hearing on her immigration status is set for Wednesday.
