Eastman Kodak Company says it earned $4 million during the second quarter of 2018 while continuing to grow its printing business.
But CEO Jeff Clarke says the company's cost of doing business was up because of higher prices for aluminum, which is the primary material in the company's offset printing plates. He says the company will focus on the sale of its Flexographic Packaging Division and continued improvements in efficiency to fight the rising costs of materials.
The money Kodak makes from selling its packaging division will be applied directly to reduce the debt from its bankruptcy restructuring.
