Two Workers Hurt Following Fire at Rochester Manufacturing Plant

Two workers are recovering from serious burns after a flash fire at a manufacturing plant in Rochester.

It happened at Arconic, a supplier of parts for the aerospace industry on McKee Road. Authorities say a line burst releasing hydraulic fluid at about 12:30 yesterday afternoon, the hydraulic fluid then struck a “Hot Ring” on a machine igniting the fluid.

The result was a 30 foot fireball which seriously burned  both men as they stood near the machine. The two employees, a 29 year old male and 33 year old male were hospitalized.
