Webster, NY -- Search operations will resume Friday morning for a Webster man who vanished while wading in Irondequoit Bay.
Forty-year-old Shawn Ross was last seen on a sandbar, not far from shore, around 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities say he had been on a pontoon boat with a friend and a relative and got off the boat to wade in waist-deep water.
Deputies, state police and West Webster firefighters searched through the evening in the water and on land. The search was suspended around 1 a.m.
