Sentencing is set for September for one of the four people charged in a Wayne County murder-for-hire plot.
Davontae Devine, of Henrietta, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the February 2017 death of Julie Martin at her home in the Town of Ontario. He admitted smothering the woman with a pillow and was paid by the woman's daughter -- Jasmine Harlee.
Prosecutors say Harlee was trying to collect her mother's life insurance benefit. Harlee, and co-defendant Malquam Drayton have also pleaded guilty.
Harlee's boyfriend -- Knowlege Crouser -- is scheduled for trial next month.
