Jury Deliberations in Skelos Retrial May Have to Start Over Again

Jury deliberations in the corruption retrial of former state Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos, and his son, may have to start all over again.

A juror with long-standing vacation plans sent a note to the judge yesterday reminding her about the cruise she has booked for Saturday.  She said she needs time to get ready.

The judge said if there's no verdict by Thursday, she'll replace the juror with an alternate -- meaning deliberations would start from scratch.

Skelos and his son are accused of bribery and extortion for allegedly pressuring companies into giving the son no-how jobs in exchange for political favors.
