A Batavia woman is facing animal cruelty charges. Police said Becky Frens, 56, failed to properly take care of her dog. State Police said Frens was arrested after she went to the animal shelter to claim a dog that was located the previous day. The dog was in poor health. It had multiple skin infections, mange, and double ear infections. Police also said the dog's nails were so long it couldn't walk. Frens was charged with overdriving, torturing and injuring animals. She was also charged with failure to provide proper sustenance.
