Robin Wilt's Candidacy for State Assembly is Being Challenged

There's a challenge to Brighton Town Board member Robin Wilt's candidacy for state Assembly.

She filed her petition yesterday to run in the Democratic primary in the 136th District, but a formal challenge has been filed by opponent Jaclyn Richard's campaign.

It alleges Wilt has not satisfied the state's five-year residency requirement. She reportedly lived and voted in Seattle, Washington, as recently as 2016.

Jamie Romeo and Todd Grady are the other two candidates. The primary is September 13.
