RCSD Receives $8.5 Million State Funding

The Rochester City School District is receiving $8.5 million in state funding to support construction of pre-kindergarten classrooms. Governor Cuomo made the announcement yesterday. The RCSD project is just one of 16 Smart Schools Investment Plans across New York. It is aimed at helping reimagine teaching and learning in the 21st century. In total $12 million has been awarded for these Smart Schools Investment Plans. The funding is part of the $2 billion Smart Schools Bond Act.
