Strong Museum Breaks Ground on Expansion Project

The Strong museum has broken ground for its 100,000 square-foot expansion and parking garage. It's part of the Strong's Neighborhood of Play project for a parcel created when the city filled-in the eastside of the Inner Loop.

The expansion includes a new welcome atrium, expanded educational spaces, dynamic new exhibits, and expanded collections and conservation facilities.

The ceremony was held at the corner of Chestnut Street and Manhattan Square.
