A Rochester man has been sentenced 17 years to life in prison for stabbing and killing a woman last July 24th.
Twenty-three-year-old Amari Brown pleaded guilty last month to second degree murder for the death of Monica Sherman -- a woman he did not know before that night.
Prosecutors say Brown stabbed Sherman several times in the chest behind a corner store on Lyell Avenue -- about a block west of Broad Street. Police used surveillance video to assist the investigation and arrested Brown a couple weeks later.
