Woman Accused of Making Threats Against East HS; Takes Plea Deal

The young woman accused of making terroristic threats against East High School on Facebook is taking a plea deal. Abigail Hernandez pleaded guilty this morning to a misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting an incident. In court, she admitted making two threatening Facebook posts.

When she was arrested in February, Hernandez was a 21-year-old special ed student who had been transferred from East High to Edison. Sentencing is set for July 19.

She is also an immigrant brought to the U.S. as a child and could face deportation. The Rochester school board this week presented her with a diploma in jail.
