Prosecutors are making their case at the retrial of former state Senate leader Dean Skelos and his son Adam.
During opening statements yesterday in Federal Court, prosecutors argued that Skelos abused his political power to satisfy personal greed. Prosecutors say Skelos strong-armed business people who needed state contracts for more than $300,000 in payoffs and no-show jobs for his son.
Both Skelos and his son were found guilty in 2015, but had their convictions overturned.
