Prices at the gas pumps continue to climb.
AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular in the Rochester area soared past the $3 mark in the past week. The price per gallon rose 10 cents to $3.03.
Prices are a couple cents higher in Central New York, and slightly lower closer to Buffalo. The state average is $3.07 and the national average is $2.93.
AAA says there are several factors behind the rising prices -- rising crude costs, the switch to more costly summer blends, tighter inventories and robust demand.
