Voters Approve New School District Budgets

Voters have approved the new school district budgets in all the Rochester suburbs.

Every budget stayed within the state's two-percent cap on tax increases. Voters also approved all district requests to borrow money for capital improvements. Five school board incumbents in Monroe County Districts lost their seats. And a 19-year-old candidate fell about 200 votes short of winning a seat in Greece.

Meanwhile, the Rochester City School Board approved the $915 million city school budget in a vote last night.
