NY Gov. Candidate Cynthia Nixon, Wants to Reinstate Moreland Commission

Cynthia Nixon is promising to bring back the so-called Moreland Commission if she is elected Governor of New York.

In 2013 Governor Cuomo commissioned a panel to investigate systemic corruption in state government only to disband it less than a year later.

A spokesman for Governor Cuomo's campaign calls Nixon's proposal a political attack -- adding that her commission ought to investigate why she hasn't released ten years of taxes like every other candidate for governor.
