Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren isn't ruling out becoming the state Attorney General. Her name is one of many that has surfaced as a possible successor to Eric Schneiderman, who resigned this week.
The state legislature will choose an A.G. to finish Schneiderman's term this year, and his resignation could open the doors to more candidates -- from both parties -- before the state primary in September.
In a statement last night, Warren says she is "committed to serve the residents of Rochester in the highest and best possible way." And she says she knows the Legislature will pick "the very best candidate" to serve as the next Attorney General.
