A Rochester man has been arraigned on 31 counts of rape, sexual abuse and committing a criminal sexual act.
A grand jury indicted 38-year-old Alex Mejias in connection with a violent sexual attack last month. He's also accused on four burglary counts related to that same crime.
Court papers in the case were sealed and details of the crime were not revealed in court, but the incident took place on March 29th. Police are not commenting due to the nature of the charges.
Meijas is being held on $50,000 bail and will be back in court on June 14th.
