The notoriously rough pavement on the western end of the Lake Ontario State Parkway is about to be fixed.
Assemblyman Steve Hawley says after delivering a petition to Governor Cuomo, the State Transportation Department has announced it will repave the Orleans County end of the Parkway between Hamlin and Kendall. The project will be more than $5 million, and Hawley says it will begin this season.
The rough road caused significant issues with traffic and residents have been calling for something to be done for two years.
