Glitches Cause Issues for Students Taking Computer Based Standardized Tests

Students across the state may have to retake computer based standardized tests.

There were serious issues yesterday for students taking computerized English Language Arts tests. The State Education Department says some students between the third and eighth grade at 263 schools had technical difficulties.

Some of the reported issues included login failures, crashes and lost work.  Education officials blamed the company that was hired to administer the tests, but they say the problems are now fixed.
