Judge Postpones Re-Sentencing For Rochester Man Who Had Conviction Reduced

A judge has postponed the re-sentencing of a Rochester man whose conviction in the killing of an RIT professor was reduced from first to second degree murder.

The hearing today for Jerrell Henry is now set for next Wednesday to allow more time for the judge to review the pre-sentence investigation.

Henry was initially given a life sentence for the fatal shooting of Edline Chun at her home in 2013.

But the appellate court found there was insufficient evidence to prove Henry -- not his girlfriend -- was the person who shot and killed Chun as they both robbed her home.
