Arrest Made Following Armed Robbery at Canandaigua Jewelry Store

A Rochester man has been arrested for an armed robbery Tuesday at the Canandaigua Jewelry and Coin Exchange.

Police say James Moore went there before noon, and told the clerk he was a federal law enforcement officer.

Police say Moore showed a gun, restrained the employee in a back room, and stole property from the business. Moore was arrested Thursday on a first-degree robbery charge.
