RPD, Monroe Co. DA Launch Joint Criminal Investigation into Rowe Case

Rochester Police say a joint criminal investigation with the Monroe Co. DA's office has been launched regarding the death of Trevyan Rowe.

Rowe was the 7th grade special education student who was found dead in the Genesee River, days after he walked away from school #12.

Authorities say the investigation was launched on Friday and will look into all circumstances surrounding the case. Police and the DA's office say they will not be able to comment on the possibility of criminal charges until the investigation is closed.

On Monday, The Attorney General’s office and State Education Department announced they were launching their own investigation.
