A convicted Level 2 sex offender has been arrested in Rochester on child pornography charges. Michael Krepp, 58, is accused of downloading and sharing images of child pornography. According to investigators, an undercover FBI Special Agent discovered multiple files containing videos and images of child pornography between September 9, 2017 and January 22, 2018 that were traced back to Krepp. Digital media recovered from Krepp in February 2018 contained child pornography. Krepp was convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl in July 2006. He served four years in state prison and was released in July 2013. Krepp was arrested and charged with receipt and distribution of child pornography. He is currently in federal custody. Prosecutors say Krepp faces up to 40 years in federal prison if convicted.
