Flu Cases on the Decline in New York State

New York's flu epidemic appears to have peaked.

There were nearly 14-thousand confirmed cases last week -- but Governor Cuomo says that's a 25-percent decline from the week before.

It's the first drop in the state this flu season. Hospitalizations are down for the third week in a row but, still, more than 17-hundred people ended up in the hospital with flu complications.

Five children have died in New York since the flu was declared widespread 12 weeks ago and Cuomo is reminding people to be vigilant about hand-washing and staying home if they're sick.
