The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says the incident started when a man and women got into a physical altercation in the driveway outside a home.
Captain Douglas Comanzo says two people then reportedly tried to step in and were injured.
The man tried to steal one of the passerby's cars but drove it into a ditch and got stuck. He then barricaded himself in the house.
No charges have been filed so far.
