Voters in Penfield Will Determine Fate of Former Shadow Pines Golf Course

Voters in Penfield will decide tomorrow whether the town should borrow $3.6 million to buy the former Shadow Pines Golf Course.

Approval would protect the land from development. The property includes more than 200 acres and the Clark House.

Opponents of the referendum say the town already has plenty of green space -- and new development on the land would expand the tax base. The voting takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Penfield Community Center.
