The American Red Cross is dealing with a winter blood shortage. The organization is looking for blood and platelet donors after they say the severe winter weather has caused 150 blood drives to be canceled. In NY 10 blood drives were forced to be canceled, due to last week’s winter storm. Eligible donors can find a blood or platelet donation opportunity and schedule an appointment to donate by using the free Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
