The Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation has received more than $255,792 in donations since he threw a touchdown pass to eliminate the Baltimore Ravens and end the Buffalo Bills' playoff drought. Buffalo Bills fans are also donating to Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd's charity.
Dalton said at one point the foundation was receiving 10 donations per minute from Buffalo fans. The majority of the donations, Dalton pointed out, came in the form of $17, in reference to the 17 seasons between playoff appearances for the Bills. According to the foundation's site, Andy, and his wife, Jordan, created the charity to "provide daily support, opportunities, resources and life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in Cincinnati and Fort Worth. "
Boyd's charity has raised nearly $40,000. The donations are also in $17 increments. It was Boyd who caught the 49-yard touchdown pass from Dalton that led to the defeat of the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, and propelled the Bills into the playoffs. Here is a link to Boyd's Charity: WPYAA
Buffalo is scheduled to play the host Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
