June Trial Date Set For Charlie Tan

A trial date has been set for Charlie Tan, who is being held on three federal weapons charges connected to his father’s murder in February of 2015. Tan has been in custody since his arrest at the Canadian border in September. The trial will be on June 25, 2018. He is charged with receiving a firearm and ammunition with intent to commit an offense and two counts of false statement during a firearm purchase. Tan has pleaded not guilty to all counts.  Murder charges against Tan were dismissed in 2015 after a hung jury.
