Monroe County is almost the state's most charitable county outside of New York City.
New York Upstate recently released charity rankings by county -- using data from 2015 -- looking at average percent of gross income donated, along with other factors like the average contribution amount.
Monroe County came in second and was only topped by Hamilton County.
