Ontario County Public Health Office Confirms Flu Cases

There's more evidence the flu has arrived in our area.

The Ontario County Public Health office says flu cases have been confirmed in the county.

Health officials are concerned the flu will spread in the coming weeks as people travel and gather for holiday celebrations. Both the A and B strains have appeared, and experts say most of the strains match this season's vaccine.

Children, seniors, and people with HIV, AIDS and cancer are most at risk. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says you should get a vaccination from your health provider or pharmacy.
