Investigators in Ontario County are urging women not to leave their purses in the car -- even during quick stops. The sheriff's office is looking into at least five car break-ins, targeting women at daycare centers and gyms. Authorities say the thieves -- known as the Felony Lane Gang -- target communities close to the Thruway and often target women. They smash car windows and take purses, then use the IDs to make bank withdrawals.
