Professors Sign Letter Advising Students Not to Attend U of R

The University of Rochester is getting negative attention from others in academia around the country over the handling of sexual harassment allegations against a faculty member. Hundreds of professors at other schools have signed an open letter telling students not to attend the UofR. The letter says UofR President Joel Seligman "failed to adequately respond" to the allegations involving Professor Florian Jaeger. The university initially concluded the accusations were unfounded. But the trustees have ordered a new investigation, Seligman has apologized and Jaeger has been placed on leave.
