Rochester City Council Rejects Proposal To Loan Money to Developer

The Rochester City Council has rejected a proposal by Mayor Warren to loan $1.5 million to developer Bob Morgan.

The loan would have helped finance his planned five-story mixed use building at 103 Court Street. The Council vote was 5-to-3 against the loan.

But two opponents are leaving council next month, and the issue could come up again in January. Morgan is reportedly facing a federal investigation for the financing of his projects in Buffalo.
