The mother of a 10-day-old baby found dead in Rochester has been charged with murder. The baby boy was found unresponsive yesterday in an apartment at a two-family home at 31 Locust Street. He was taken by ambulance to Rochester General and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. According to police, 25-year-old Markiya Mitchell is facing 2nd degree murder charges after she confessed to drowning her 10-day-old son, Jeremiah Mitchell, in a bathtub at 31 Locust Street.
