New York Firefighters Headed to California to Help Contain Wildfires

New York firefighters are headed to California to help contain the devastating wildfires that are ravaging the northern part of the state.  

Thousands of firefighters are battling almost two dozen wildfires across more than 300 square miles burning thousands of homes and business to the ground. 

 Governor Cuomo announced a crew of 20 employees and volunteers from the State Department of Environmental Conservation are joining State Forest Rangers to be assigned where they are needed most.
