The economic development group Greater Rochester Enterprise and it's counterpart in Buffalo -- Invest Buffalo Niagara -- are teaming up to try to attract Amazon's proposed second North American headquarters to the region. The two organizations say in a statement "the combined Buffalo Rochester Metro Corridor can offer a proposal that is both compelling and extremely competitive.” Matt Hurlbutt, Interim President and CEO of Greater Rochester Enterprise, says he hopes the submission will showcase the many attributes Western NY has to offer. The mayors of Rochester and Buffalo, and the Erie and Monroe County Executives are all supporting the combined submission.The leaders say the proposal will include site locations, information on the region’s evolving innovation eco-system, and background on the area’s more than 60 colleges and universities.
