A man who was working as the Water Utilities Superintendent in the Town of Ontario has been arrested on an Wayne County Indictment Warrant . New York State Police say following a yearlong investigation in conjunction with Wayne County District Attorney’s Office and the New York State Comptrollers Office, Rodney Peets was arrested yesterday and charged with six counts of offering a false instrument for filing, six counts of tampering with a public record and official misconduct. He was arraigned on the charges today. The Comptroller's office says Peets allegedly failed to fix leaks in the town water system, then faked his reports to the town to cover up the loss of water. He's scheduled back in court on October 19th.
