Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says the shared services plan worked out by a panel she convened has found 40 new areas where local governments can share services and save more than $7 million a year.
The plan was a requirement of the current state budget. Dinolfo's office says it incorporates contributions from the County, the City of Rochester, and local towns and villages to create efficiencies, increase cooperation, and save taxpayer dollars.
