Former Security Officer at Holley Central to Register as Sex Offender

A former part-time security officer at Holley Central School has been designated a Level 2 Sex Offender for having sex with a student, starting when she was 16.

Adam Mesiti's lawyer argued unsuccessfully yesterday for a lower level designation. Mesiti will have to publicly register as a sex offender, supply current photos to the state database every three years and notify officials if he moves.

Mesiti owns a liquor store and is a retired Brockport police sergeant. He pleaded guilty in May to third-degree rape and was sentenced this summer to 10 years' probation.
