Report: Manchester Judge Stole More Than Previously Reported

A grand jury in Ontario County has indicted a Manchester town judge accused of stealing funds paid to the town for traffic fines and court surcharges. Judge Erika Martin pleaded not guilty to a charge of third-degree grand larceny. Prosecutors say the thefts totaled $9,000 and began soon after she took office in January 2016. Martin's lawyer tells 13 WHAM the town had a flawed process for collecting and handling the money.  Martin has been relieved of duty and is due back in court in December.
