U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer says tens of thousands of veterans stand to lose their healthcare if the latest bill to repeal Obamacare is approved in Congress. Schumer says the Graham-Cassidy bill would strip veterans of critical benefits. He claims the bill would cut more than four-trillion-dollars in aid to states over the next two decades including $436 billion in cuts to New York. Schumer says he is especially concerned about the measure ending Medicaid expansion and says it would waive protections for pre-existing conditions for veterans for such things as PTSD.
